9 Mile - Written & Directed By Victor Love

Sledger is an elder farmer and truck driver living in the poorest part of Jamaica where he has worked hard every day to survive for over half a century.  His story is similar to the thousands of other Jamaicans toiling under poverty, trying to escape the fetid climate of economic oppression, yet his story is also different.  His first cousin, who he grew up with  went on to become the most recognizable icon in music history:  Robert Nesta Marley.Sledger tells the story of the Bob Marley and the Wailers from the perspective of someone who was there from the very beginning.  His dynamic personality and storytelling ability make him a one man show recounting the story of his life, which is the story of the last 60 years of Jamaica.

When Bob and his mother moved to the ghetto of Trenchtown, Sledger came along.  He was there when Bob got his first guitar lesson from Joe Higgs. He was there when Bob wrote his first song. He was there when he met Peter Tosh, and Bunny Livingston, and formed the Wailers.  He was there when Bob met Rita. He was there when he got his first recording deal, and when Bob met the Rastafarians, a then unknown group whose teachings would change the course of his life and give him the spiritual energy to create a revolutionary movement of music to impact the world.   Sledger was there at the birth of Reggae. In Post Production.

Mr. Id

"Mr. Id" tells the story of a failed and misogynistic writer (Steve Parlavecchio), who moonlights as a part-time hitman, by the name of Jack Maggot, who has fallen into a self-destructive abyss through a slew of bad relationships, failed novels, and a dreaded past. One night, he meets Lenore, who assures him that if he finds a writer by the name of "Mr. Id", and kills him, Jack will have the life he has always wanted: the sterile purity and comfort of a dream come true.

With the help of his street-walking "administrative assistant", Heather (Ami Dolenz), Jack has to revisit three important women in his life, Andrea Walker, Mia Crumb, Margaret Bolamano, to see if they could somehow forgive him as well as steer him towards finding "Mr. Id". During the course of his investigation, he realizes that his own self-centered demise that he has created will only make his efforts at self-transformation nearly impossible to attain, no matter how much he wants to quit the racket and write full-time. Especially when he is trailed by a pair of bumbling Chicago detectives, Jon Paul (Yuri Rutman) and Paul Jon (Lawrence J. Russo).

But Jack knows that he needs to overcome what he can in order to clean himself up and find "Mr. Id".
